Tbh, I don't see a point in getting involved on same sex marriage i find myself Libertarian on these issues, i mean adultery is already illegal. I don't really care what other people do, it doesn't affect me.
I think that's a pretty good argument, even though I oppose same sex marriage. But I think that everyone who supports gay marriage is gay themselves. I mean, if same sex marriage supporters are supporting am issue that doesn't affect them, why else would they support it? It must mean they want to be able to be gay, right?
In addition, same sex marriage does affect me and others who oppose it. For example, the children's show Arthur broadcast an episode in which one of the characters has a gay marriage. Think of the children watching it! Their parents might have been religious, and wanted to protect their young children from things that the religion they practice considers to be sinful. It does affect us. We don't want it shoved in our faces, not to mention our children's.
That's not the case always. I mean, white people supported abolishment of black slavery, because they were black themselves? Donald Trump use to support same sex marriage so does that mean he was gay?
Parents clearly have the right to not let their child watch those shows. You don't have to force your kid to watch Arthur. If Arthur shows a episode of a Jew or Muslim, should that mean we make being Jew and Muslim illegal and amend the first amendment. Should we infringe upon the right of freedom of speech and expression because it's against Christianity?
You're putting words into my mouth. That's not what I meant at all. You are misinterpreting me, and by a long shot, too. I am just saying that the Arthur episode is not appropriate for children. I am not suggesting you must force children to watch Arthur. I used to trust the show as educational and family-friendly. Not anymore.
